Day 2
Woke up to frost covered ground at 6:00. It was a cold night, but manageable.
Breakfast was a half mile walk down to Sheetz.
Packed up and hit the road around 7:45.
It was shady and cold for the first bit, being on the northwest facing side of the river valley, but with some turns in the trail and the sun rising more that improved greatly.
Gorgeous fall views.
Grabbed an early lunch in Ohiopyle. It was still breakfast time at the restaurant. So, I went with a sandwich and hashbrowns.
Camping was in Rockwood at Husky Haven Campground. A FANTASTIC setup. In Town at their offices they had water, showers, phone charging, and wifi available. Across the river, along the trail, was the campground proper. Individually reserved sites, covered firewood at each spot, and a table. Couldn't ask for more from aCampground.
As expected it was a lot more climbing than day one, and day three should be the same for the first half. Goal is to reach Cumberland, MD tomorrow.
